It has been a while since I posted a report.
It won’t be long now. Dove season opens in Mn on Sept. 1st and early goose opens on Sat. The Mn duck season opens on Oct 3rd. The season will be 60 days long with a six duck limit.
It has been a very busy summer. The new place has been a lot of work and I am also renovating my home in Crystal so I can rent it out. I have decided that I do need to get this stuff done before duck season so I will not be doing any guiding….or much hunting at all until Oct. I still have many days open for the duck season. One thing that I am doing this year is hosting the first ever live internet duck hunt in MN. The live hunts will take place Oct. 3rd and 4th. The website is www.oasisoutdoors.com. I am very excited about this.
We are also going to be running the first every live snow goose hunt. We may do it every day that we hunt down in Arkansas. Other than three weekdays….we are completely booked for the Arkansas snow goose hunts. We will be hunting from Feb. 1st to Feb. 28th. In South Dakota we will be hunting spring snows from March 13th to April 4th.
As far as the bass fishing going…..it has been good. Ron Feyo (one of my top guides) and myself took a fifth place finish in the last event and are currently holding down 2nd place for Team of The Year. Check it out at www.dennyssuper30.com. I also had a great day at Lake Minnewaska during the Silverado Pro/am. I ended up winning by a margin of almost 5 pounds. 10,000 bucks pays for a lot of gas!! You can see the results at www.silveradoproambass.com.

It has been a very busy couple of weeks. Angie and I have moved out of the ghetto and into the country. Our new address and phone number is posted in the “Contact Us” link. We are now taking reservations and deposits for the 2009/10 waterfowl seasons. I have decided to keep all rates the same.
This season I will be also offering a very limited number of early season Canada goose hunts. I am also thinking about having a few crow and dove hunts. I have a good number of deer in and around our property and may offer some type of archery deer hunt. I would run all of these hunts like I do our waterfowl hunts. Success is expected! If you are interested please send me an e-mail.

The conditions on the ducks nesting grounds sound very promising. Lots of water! Hopefully some more timely rains happen to help out the brood production. I have not heard how the snow geese nesting success is doing…..I believe it is too early to tell. Besides….an early snowstorm in August could kill most of the goslings.
So far my tournament bass season has been going great. We fished our first tournament on May 26th and ended up in 3rd place. You can view the results at www.dennyssuper30.com. Then on Sat the 30th we fished the 30th annual Minnetonka Bass Classic and took home first place. There was 137 boats in this tournament. The results are posted at www.minnetonkaclassic.com. On Sat the 6th of June I was able to squeak out the last money place on the Silverado Pro-Am bass tour held on Green Lake near Spicer. The results are up at www.silveradoproambass.com.
I am starting to take reservations and deposits for the 2009/10 hunting season.

Our 4 day hunt with my brother and friends in ND went pretty good. Many roads were closed and that made scouting difficult. We were able to find some geese that we could get to and managed to kill a bunch of them. We only hunted 4 days and killed,22,25,47 and our biggest day of the year at 152 which also included a double banded 10.00 reward snow goose. Not a bad way to cap off an excellent season!
It will take me at least 2 weeks to clean and organize all my gear for next spring. It is a pile of gear and decoys that needs to be maintained.
Then I will pull the bass boat out. I will be fishing a couple of tournament trails again this season. Last year in the Silverado Pro-Am Bass tour I started out slow but came on strong. Hopefully I will make the right choices and end up with a solid performance!
We will start booking for the 2009-10 hunting season in late June/early July. We are going to make some minor changes.

Our South Dakota season was a huge success. The last week
did have some tough weather conditions , but we were able
to relocate and get on the geese again very quickly. We ended
up recovering 961 geese for a daily average of slightly over
38 geese per spread per day. We had to work hard through tough
conditions and it paid off big time for our clients. Our low
day was 5 and our high day was an even 90. I appreciate everyone
who came out and hunted with us. I know Ron,Phil,Andrew,Jeremy
and Myself enjoyed the season and we are already looking forward
to next year.
I am going to take a week off and then head back out to
ND for 2 days of hunting with my brother, his son and a cousin.
Hopefully it warms up and dries out some. It sounds like half
the roads are washed out in certain counties. Either way…..it
should be fun!
