The Spring Snow Goose season has officially begun!  For the second straight year, Mother Nature has thrown a curve ball at us in the form of a major snow storm.  We were hit with 8 - 10 inches of rain, snow, and ice in NE Arkansas and all the Snow Geese vacated the area.  We decided to pack up and hit the road and found good numbers of birds South of I40.

The first two days we had little to no wind, but we still ended up killing 15 and 20.  On Wednesday we had a little more wind and we were able to bring down 45 Snows and Blues.

There's a noticeable decline in juvenile birds this year and I expect the harvest to be down about 30% from last year.  I believe that will probably hold true.  However, 20 - 25 birds a day is still a great day of hunting!

As I previously stated, our Arkansas snow goose hunts are fully booked, but we do have a few openings for up to 3 hunters in the South Dakota Spring Snow Goose season.  Some are even on weekends.  Call or e-mail me to book your hunt.
