Things started out a little rough in SD with all the rain, snow, and fog. We ended up cancelling the first weekend hunt due to no birds. They did, however, arrive in mass on Saturday afternoon, the 13th.
Since then, we've had some pretty good days with a high of 41 and some days that weren't so great. We have also killed 3 banded birds so far.
The last couple days have been sunny and warm and the majority of the snow in the Central and Northern part of the state is gone. We're starting to see some flocks of juvies arrive and I expect more to arrive in the next few days.
We still have a couple of openings the first weekend in April.

I just made it home last night. It was another great season in Arkansas. We had to work harder than ever and move around much more in the past but we were able to provide quality hunts almost every single day. We had 2 days where we only killed 3 geese and our high day was 97. Overall we averaged 26 geese per day per spread. Not to bad considering the low juvy numbers and the amount of snow we recieved.
Now its time to unpack the trailer, make repairs and get ready to head out to South Dakota on the 10th of March. We still have room for up to five hunters on the 15-18th and I will offer those days up for only 100.00 per hunter(for the 3 1/2 day hunt) We also have room for 3 on the weekend of April 2nd-4th.(no discount for those days yet)
