Lone Drake Waterfowl Outfitters - Hunting Reports

It won’t be long now! The snow Conservation season opens in Arkansas on Feb. 4th. I can’t wait to get down there. My contact down in NE Arkansas is reporting more snows than ever. In his estimation the snow goose population is still growing. We are going to do our best to reverse that. We still have some opening for larger groups on weekdays. The early weekends are full but we also have room for groups of 2-4 hunters the last two weekends in February. The trailer is getting loaded and I will be rolling out on Jan. 31st.

What an incredible nine days down in N.E. Arkansas! I went down there with Ron Feyo and Dan Borgos (my webmaster). When Sam said he had 100,000 ducks in his field…he wasn’t kidding. Limits were the norm. We did have a couple of tough days as the temps fell into the low teens and locked everything up, but by Sunday morning the ice was all but gone... and the ducks were back. It sure is a treat to hunt ducks in full plumage. We shot mallards, pintails, widgeon, gadwall, wood ducks, ringbills, teal, and a shovler or two. The snow geese were around in massive flocks. I can’t wait to get back down there and hunt those white devils when the conservation season opens on Feb. 4th
