We wrapped up our South Dakota Snow Goose hunts on Easter Sunday. The Easter bunny delivered as we had an outstanding morning hunt of 59 geese. Not a bad way to end the season!
Overall we were able to stay on the birds and provide excellent hunting,especially the last two weeks. In spite of all the bad reports I heard, we had an excellent season. We ended up killing 912 geese with a daily average per spread of 32 geese. Our high day was 70 with 5 other days over 50. We ended up killing 6 banded birds,including a white collar on a ross goose and a 21 year old snow goose band.
I want to thank everyone who hunted with us and hope you will be able to make it back next year. Also a big thanks to Phil,Mike,Ron and Pete. Without the hard work and sleepless nights they put in....our success would not be possible.
Its time to kick back for a few days,pay some bills,do some yard work and head out to North Dakata in a week or so to hunt with family and friends.
